Peter Wheeler, CLU, ChFC, CFP

President and CEO

Pete has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry and is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Finance.

Pete has been listed as one of the top advisors in the country by both Worth and Bloomberg Wealth Manager magazines. He is a recognized expert in the industry and has been featured on numerous television and radio programs and in a variety of financial journals.

Pete has authored several books, is a member of the advisory board for San Diego State University’s Sports Management MBA program, and is retired a Commander from the US Naval Reserve.

Pete is originally from New Brunswick, Canada. He and his wife, Mary, live in Point Loma and they have five children and two grandchildren. He enjoys rough-water swimming, wood-working, and classic boat restoration.

Kenneth Frost, CFA

Vice President and Chief Investment Officer

Ken is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the Financial Analysts Society of San Diego. Ken graduated, cum laude, from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Psychology, and completed his MBA at OSU.

Ken joined WheelerFrost in 1985 and has been a partner since 1990.

Ken is a member of the Financial Analysts Society of San Diego. He is frequently utilized as a resource for national publications and media. Ken regularly speaks to professional advisors on the state of the economy and other financial issues.

Ken is orginally from Cottonwood, Idaho. He and his wife, Linda, live in Scripps Ranch with their two children. He enjoys golfing and skiing.

Mary Wheeler

Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Compliance Officer

Mary graduated, cum laude, from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Public Administration and is a member of the national business honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma.

She joined WheelerFrost in 1985 following a career in banking.

Mary is originally from New York City. She and her husband, Pete, live in Point Loma and they have five children and two grandchildren. She enjoys horseback riding and traveling.

Allyson Phillips

Vice President of Marketing

Allyson graduated from San Diego State University, cum laude, with a B.A. in Media Management and a minor in Political Science. She is a member of the national political science honor society, Pi Sigma Alpha.

Allyson joined WheelerFrost in 1994 and worked for the firm while attending San Diego State University.

Allyson is originally from San Diego, California. She and her husband, Shandley, live in Point Loma with their two children. She enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and being with her family.

Anders Norrman, CFP

Assistant Portfolio Manager

Anders graduated from the University of Kristianstad, Sweden with a B.S. in Business Administration and Industrial Engineering. He completed his MBA at United States International University and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Anders joined WheelerFrost, in 2003, as an intern during his MBA program and was hired as a Financial Analyst upon graduation.  In addition to being our Assistant Portfolio Manager, Anders is also the Vice President of Operations for WheelerFrost.

Anders is originally from Stockholm, Sweden. He lives in downtown San Diego. He enjoys skiing, reading, golf, and tennis.

 

Karen Martin

Director of Office Operations

Karen joined the staff of WheelerFrost Associates in November of 2009. She brings over 15 years of administrative and office management experience to the company.  Karen also possess an extensive background in human resources.

As Director of Office Operations, her focus is on support, client service and quality assurance for all services provided by WheelerFrost. With her positive attitude, excellent organizational skills and desire to provide the best customer service possible, Karen continues to help build and solidify WheelerFrost's strong relationships with its clients.

Karen enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children. She enjoys hiking, reading, going to the beach, and cooking.

 

Tyler Zakovich

Associate

Tyler graduated from the University of San Diego with a BS in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance, Real Estate, and Marketing along with a minor in International Business.

Tyler joined WheelerFrost in 2010.

Tyler is originally from Denver, Colorado and has been a San Diego resident since 2005.  He currently lives in downtown San Diego.  He enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, lacrosse, music, and spending time with family and friends.
